The story takes place in France in 997 AD. It is a young monk named Michel has to flee their monastery when it is burned. Michel brings some scrolls of Bernard of Thuringia in which predicted that in 1000 Armageddon would come. To avoid Michel had to meet three axes: the Past, Present and Future.

I like a lot this book and I recommended it. It is a beautiful history with happy and sad times. I thing is not a good book to small children.
